A few of our users have reported that their Morgan Stanley Smith Barney accounts are being locked out after linking them in Personal Capital.
We've investigated the issue and can confirm that this is a result of Morgan Stanley implementing an authentication mechanism for a select number of customers that we currently do not support. Our aggregation team is working with Morgan Stanley to resolve this issue.
In the meantime, we request that you log in to your Personal Capital account a few times during the day and answer the different security questions prompted to you for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney accounts. If all the security questions are answered in Personal Capital, the accounts won't be locked and you can continue updating them.
