How do I Update the Balance of my Manual Accounts?

For Manual accounts, you will need to update the balance manually each time there is a balance change. You can update any manual account that was added to your accounts list within your application by doing the following:

Web Application (www.personalcapital.com):

  1. Login to Personal Capital at https://www.personalcapital.com
  2. In the 'My Account" panel, select the account you need to edit.
  3. Select the Pencil icon to edit the account
  4. Form should appear to allow you to update the Firm Name, Account Name, and Balance
  5. Select “Save”


iOS:

  1. Login to the application.
  2. In the Account panel, select the account you need to edit.
  3. Form should appear to allow you to update the Description, Account Number, and Balance
  4. Select “Done”


Android:

  1. Login to the application.
  2. In the Account panel, select the account you need to edit. 
  3. Form should appear to allow you to update the Description, Account Number, and Balance
  4. Select “Done”
