How do I edit multiple transactions at the same time?

If you want to edit multiple transactions with the same category, please complete the following steps in our web application at 

  1. Please log in to Personal Capital via a web browser on your computer ( 
  2. Go to My Accounts panel 
  3. Click on the account in question
  4. Click on the ‘Pencil’ icon (just above the ‘Date’ column)
  5. You can search for transactions that you want to edit and select the ones to edit using the checkboxes
  6. Change the category by selecting the new category from within the drop down menu provided
  7. Click the ‘Done’ tab
