How do I edit the category of a transaction?

You can update the category of the transaction from selecting one in the available list. Application specific steps to update the category for a single transaction are given below. 


Web Application (https://www.personalcapital.com):

  1. Please log in to Personal Capital via a web browser on your computer (home.personalcapital.com) 
  2. Go to My Accounts panel
  3. Click on the account in question
  4. Select the transaction in question
  5. Change the category by selecting the within the drop down menu provided.
  6. Click the ‘Done’ tab


iPhone / iPad :

  1. Please log in to the application.
  2. Go to the Net Worth panel
  3. Click on the account in question
  4. Select the transaction in question
  5. Change the category by selecting the within the drop down menu provided.
  6. Click the ‘Done’ tab


Android:

  1. Please log in to the application. 
  2. Go to the Net Worth panel
  3. Click on the account in question.
  4. Select the transaction in question
  5. Change the category by selecting the first field displayed under the price.
  6. The drop down menu will display. Select the new category.
  7. Click the ‘Done’ tab
